Fullstack Engineer

We’re looking for an outstanding fullstack engineer to join our product team at Onfleet with a focus on enhanced stability, reliability, and user experience.

We're building industry-leading tools for local delivery: logistics / backend, real-time operations dashboard, analytics, route optimization, driver tracking, and communications. Our backend is built primarily in Node and we use Redis, MongoDB, and Postgres. Mobile and web clients are functional reactive and kept in sync over WebSocket and REST.

We're building tools aimed at solving practical problems around local delivery with an eye toward efficiency and automation. We're looking for like-minded people who believe in the power of simple, intuitive products and are who are willing to grow and own the product.

As our third engineering hire, you would work very closely with our product-focused founding team to bring a perfect delivery management experience to SMBs and other delivery-centric tech companies, enabling them to scale their businesses and delight their customers.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience (at least 1 year of frontend- and 2 years of backend experience)
  • BS in computer science or a reasonable approximation
  • Passionate self-starter ready to own key parts of our code base and grow with the product
  • Careful engineer who likes to build fast and build well
  • Fast learner, ready to master new technologies and methods as we scale

Customer Success

As a mission-critical logistics software provider, customer success is paramount. If our customers have trouble onboarding, training, or operating on the Onfleet platform, their entire delivery business comes to a grinding halt. That’s why we’ve spent the last 3 years getting to know our customers in detail, evaluating each of their operational models, customer profiles and feature requests.

As our first Customer Success lead, you will start by getting into the weeds with our customers to understand what makes them go, and what makes them slow. You will work with our sales team to transition trial users to active customers, our support team to resolve problems, and our product team to improve the platform. You will create processes, tools, and reports to better segment our customers and own strategy for revenue expansion and churn reduction.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of B2B SaaS Customer Success experience
  • Self-starter, team player, highly personable
  • Exemplary communication skills
  • Deep understanding of customer success metrics and reporting
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM
  • Basic understanding of SQL

Nice to have

  • Knowledge and experience in the logistics industry, with a particular focus on last-mile urban delivery
  • Strong understanding of SQL

Sales Development

We’re seeking an exceptional individual to support the growth of our sales efforts in the rapidly changing local delivery industry.

While the role will be initially weighted towards traditional sales development activities (lead generation, outbound campaign management, inbound qualification), you will also assume sales operations activities within 120 days. Working closely with AE’s and the VPS, you will formulate strategy, design and implement process, execute, and analyze results.

This is an opportunity for swiss-army-knife hunters only, with a desire to stretch outside their comfort zone, learn, grow, and assume a leadership role within the first year. Advancement opportunities to Account Executive, Sales Engineer, Sales Support or Customer Success are limited only by your ability and interest.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 1 year of SaaS SDR experience with a clear track record of achievement
  • Excellent, demonstrable verbal and written communication skills
  • Devotion to systems, repeatability, efficiency, and measurement
  • High technical acumen, an early adopter
