This quarter we focused on helping you tailor Onfleet to the way your operation actually works, from the details you capture in the field to how your routes get optimized and reviewed. Here’s what's new this quarter:
Set the right requirements for every delivery.
- Choose what data drivers capture at each stop
- Create reusable templates for every delivery task type
More Control & Visibility Over Your Routes.
- New charts show how your routes performed vs. plan
- New optimization parameters for API-driven routing
Plus, a sneak peak into what's coming in Q3.
Set the right requirements for every delivery
Choose what data drivers capture at each stop
Decide exactly what a driver has to confirm or fill out before they can complete a task, so the details that matter to your operation are captured at every stop. You get complete, audit-ready records at the time of delivery instead of chasing missing information after the shift.
How it works:
- Create custom fields for whatever your operation needs, such confirming ID verification, entering damage notes, or cash collected on delivery
- Set each field as required or optional, so a task cannot be completed until the required ones are filled in
- Capture proof of delivery, compliance steps, payment collection, and notes in the way that your business needs
Availability: Included in Scale plans (up to 20 custom fields) and Enterprise (unlimited).
Create reusable templates for every delivery task type
Different types of deliveries need different requirements. A refrigerated meal kit drop, a prescription that needs a signature, and a standard parcel each follow a different process. Setting this up manually every time is slow and easy to get wrong. Task templates let you bundle the right fields and requirements for each job type, so every task is set up correctly from the start.
How it works:
- Create a template for each job type, like cold chain delivery, hazmat pickup, or a standard dropoff
- Add the custom fields and requirements needed for that workflow
- Apply a template when creating tasks so everything is set up the same way, every time
Availability: Included in Enterprise plans
More Control And Visibility Over Your Routes
New charts show how your routes performed vs. plan
New route analytics charts show planned versus actual performance right in your Analyze dashboard, so you can track how your routes hold up over time and see where they consistently run long or drift from the plan.
How it works:
- Three new Route Performance charts in the "+ Add Chart" menu compare planned versus actual route distance and duration
- Save them to a custom dashboard view for an at-a-glance read on long-term trends
- Use the trends to tune future optimization and set realistic ETAs
Availability: Available to Scale and Enterprise plans.
New optimization parameters for API-driven routing
If you build your routes through the API, you can now shape optimization around the rules your operation runs on, like stop priority and vehicle requirements. New parameters let you set those constraints in the request so the routes you get back are ready to dispatch with fewer manual fixes.
What's new:
- Keep urgent orders first by setting task priority in your optimization requests
- Match deliveries to the right vehicles, so only refrigerated vehicles get cold-chain deliveries
- Cap route distance to protect EV battery range or keep routes within limits
- Control how tightly stops are clustered and set per-vehicle cost rules for finer optimization
Availability: Available via API to Scale and Enterprise organizations on the V3 route optimization engine.

Coming soon in Q3
Recipient PIN Verification to Strengthen Chain of Custody
Add a chain-of-custody check to every delivery. When a driver arrives, the recipient provides a one-time PIN sent by SMS, and the driver cannot complete the task without it, giving you verifiable proof the parcel reached the right person.
Availability: Included in Enterprise subscriptions.
Geofencing to Confirm Deliveries Are Completed On-Site
Ensure every delivery is completed where it is supposed to be. Geofencing adds a location check at task completion, warning or blocking drivers who are outside the delivery zone, so your proof-of-delivery data is accurate and defensible.
Availability: Included in Scale and Enterprise subscriptions.
White Label Client Portal to Strengthen a Courier’s Brand
Couriers will be able to offer clients a portal that represents their brand, not Onfleet's. Couriers can set a branded login URL, replace the Onfleet logo with their own, and deliver a fully white-labelled client experience that strengthens their brand with every interaction.
Availability: Available as a premium add-on to the Courier Suite.
Looking ahead
We are continuing to invest in the areas covered here: giving your team more control over the data you capture in the field and deeper visibility into how your routes perform. If you have questions about any of these updates or want help enabling them, reach out to Support or your Onfleet representative.
